Fernando Mastrangelo

Fernando Mastrangelo (n. 1978) vive y trabaja en Brooklyn. El artista ha exhibido numerosas veces a lko largo d elos Estados Unidos y el mundo, en exposiciones colectivas y en solitario. Previo a su incursión en las artes y el diseño, trabajó como asistente de Matthew Barney. En 2008 el Brooklyn Museum adquirió una pieza de Mastrangelo, para después incluirla en la exhibición Connecting Cultures en 2012, la cual fue sumamente alcamada por la crítica. Recientemente ha aparecido en publicaciones como Architectural Digest, World of Interiors, Forbes, Financial Times, Cultured Magazine, Interview Magazine, Wall Street Journal, Whitewall Magazine, Flaunt Magazine, and the Miami Herald entre otras. En 2014 Mastrangelo fundó AMMA Studio, donde creó una innovadora linea de muebles, usando su reconocida técnica de uso de materiales naturales. Después de un exitoso primer año, Mastrangelo lanzó MMATERIAL, su más nueva línea de esculturas funcionales, la cual debutó en el Collective Design Fair en mayo de 2015.

Fernando Mastrangelo (b. 1978) lives and works in Brooklyn. He has exhibited extensively throughout the US and internationally in both group and solo shows. Prior to pursuing his career in the arts & design, he worked as an assistant to Matthew Barney. In 2008 the Brooklyn Museum acquired Mastrangelo’s work, then included it in the critically-accalaimed exhibition Connecting Cultures in 2012. He has recently been featured in publications such as the Architectural Digest, World of Interiors, Forbes, Financial Times, Cultured Magazine, Interview Magazine, Wall Street Journal, Whitewall Magazine, Flaunt Magazine, and the Miami Herald among many others. In 2014 Mastrangelo founded AMMA Studio, where he created a groundbreaking line of furniture using his signature technique of casting natural materials. After a successful first year, Mastrangelo launched MMATERIAL, his newest line of functional sculptures, which made its debut at Collective Design Fair in May of 2015.
